Helmet and visor cleaning

NOTE! These are just general guidelines, always remember to follow the instructions that came with your helmet as depending on your helmet and its materials, they may differ from our instructions.

  • Helmets should only be cleaned with detergents and water intended for this purpose. Depending on the type of paint finish, some detergents may damage the surface or leave visible marks. For example, helmets with a matte finish are particularly sensitive to this.
  • When cleaning your helmet, use only a microfiber cloth dampened with water and, if necessary, a suitable detergent. We recommend Muc-Off Visor Cleaner.
  • Wipe off any dirt from the surface of the helmet with light movements. Remember to dry the water and detergent with a dry microfiber cloth so that they do not leave marks when they dry.
  • We recommend removing the visor from the helmet, it makes cleaning much easier. Remember that the visor is made of plastic, and therefore it is easy to make annoying micro-scratches on its surface when rubbing if you do not use a suitable cloth. When cleaning the visor, only use a microfiber cloth!
  • If the visor has a Pinlock film attached, we do not recommend removing it unless you plan to replace it with a new one at the same time. You can clean the Pinlock film by gently moving it with a lint-free cloth moistened with water from the inside of the visor. Pinlock films are made of soft plastic, do not use paper towels to clean them, as they can scratch the surface.
  • The Muc-Off Helmet Care Kit contains everything we use here to clean helmets, and we recommend this kit to anyone who wants to take proper care of their helmet.

Leather equipment care
  • Leather clothing should be treated with leather care products whenever it gets wet.
  • After getting wet, they should be dried at room temperature overnight or until they are completely dry.
  • After drying, apply a good leather care product to the surface of the leather with a cotton cloth, spreading it lightly, NOT rubbing. Let it dry for 1/2 hour. Finally, buff off the excess with a cotton cloth. A suitable product for this purpose is Sweep Leather Protector .
  • Leather can also be cleaned gently with a leather cleaner. For this purpose, you can use Sweep Leather Cleaner .
  • The conditioner for antique leather products is Leather Revive , which is applied using the same instructions as regular leather conditioner.
  • Leather clothing should also not be exposed to UV radiation unnecessarily, as UV radiation severely wears down the surface of the leather, especially in places where the temperature may rise, such as on the car's glove compartment.
  • If your accessories have unpleasant odors, you can also freshen them with Sweep Stink Away .
